Don Bosco Prep History

Coach Sabella  is entering his fourth season at Don Bosco. As a head coach for the past 21 season, last season he helped lead the Ironmen to a 8-5 record and being the runner up for the Group 4 Non Public Title. In 2019, he helped lead them to a 7-5 record and being the runner up for the Group 4 Non Public Title. Before Don Bosco Coach Sabella was at Ridgefield Park H.S. In 2016 he led led the Paramus Catholic Paladins to a State Championship and was named North Jersey Coach of The Year. He also led Paramus H.S. to 9 straight playoff appearances including back to back state final games during his 9 year tenure. Coach Sabella started his coaching career at his alma mater Bogota H.S. where he led the Bucs to a perfect 12-0 season in 2006 and the schools only state championship. Coach Sabella played Quarterback at Monmouth University where he still holds several passing records and was inducted into the MU Hall of Fame in 2014. Ironman Football Camp staff will include several members of the Don Bosco Coaching Staff and other top level coaches in the tri-state area.
