Our Coaching Staff

Coach Sabella is entering his 8th season at Don Bosco. As a head coach for the past 22 seasons, last season he helped lead the Ironmen to an 11-1 record and being the runner up for the Group 4 Non Public A State Title. The Ironmen had an undefeated regular season for the first time since 2011, where they faced teams from Texas, Florida, and New York. In addition, the Ironmen held a spot in the top 25 high school teams nationally for 7 straight weeks. Before Don Bosco, Coach Sabella was at Ridgefield Park H.S. In 2016, he led the Paramus Catholic Paladins to a State Championship and was named North Jersey Coach of the Year. He also led Paramus H.S. to 9 straight playoff appearances including back-to-back state final games, during his 9 year tenure. Coach Sabella started his coaching career at his alma mater Bogota H.S. where he led the Bucs to a perfect 12-0 season in 2006 and the schools only state championship. Coach Sabella played Quarterback at Monmouth University where he still holds several passing records and was inducted into the MU Hall of Fame in 2014. Ironman Football Camp staff will include several members of the Don Bosco Coaching Staff and other top level coaches in the tri-state area.
